 Weather and Emergency Radios - National Weather Warnings
Weather radios by Midland Electronics and Oregon Scientific monitor NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) Weather Radio and alert you to emergencies and hazards, which include weather (e.g., tornadoes, storms, floods), natural, technological, and other national emergencies. The radios are especially useful for early tornado warnings. Tornadoes can occur suddenly and unexpectedly, and being prepared is crucial to the safety of you and your family.
Each radio will monitor NOAA weather radio, alerting you of severe weather warnings in your area. Once you input your regional SAME code, you'll start receiving local warnings only - reducing false alarms. The radios we carry will function about 40 miles away from a National Weather Radio station. You can look up your local code and search for stations near you by following the above links.
